thank you so much for your honesty and sharing what you did today with (in)courage. I am in the midst of a time of darkness and have been trying to shake it off as if I was ok. I didn’t call upon or lean on friends. I’m learning it’s ok to be vulnerable and to not have to be perfect…to let friends be there for you and with you. Posts like this encourage me to surround myself with those who love me and let my guard down.
This has provoked some thought for me. I am always ready to be a safe place, but I do not share my personal stresses. I need to consider who I feel that I can trust enough to be that safe place for me. We always need God’s Word and guidance but sometimes the pain is so bad we just need someone to listen first and let us relieve some of the pressure, then we can be prepared for moving onward and upward. Thank you. I think the Holy Spirit has been trying to direct me to someone in particular for some time and I have ignored the promptings as I am so private a person I really don’t know how to open up. I believe new things await me because of your words.
