Meet Dawn

Welcome to my little corner of the internet! My home sweet home online has been lovingly decorated with family, faith, and Photoshop since 2006. I’m an Atlanta-based writer, photographer, wife, former homeschooling mom, and regular contributor for (in)courage.

I’m hooked on essential oils, Earl Grey, and the Beatles. Movie date nights are my love language, I prefer the mountains to the beach and tea over coffee, and I never pass up a chance for ice cream. I help people live healthier lives and learn more about how their bodies work through my essential oils business.

We were a homeschooling family from 1993 to 2023—thirty years! We have children still at home, others married, and seven adorable grandbabies!

My trusty Nikon, Photoshop, Lightoom, and writing provide my favorite creative outlets. I hope to capture hidden things through my camera’s lens and details no eye has seen and to point the viewer toward the miracle of God’s creation and the reader to the finished work of the cross.

My love of essential oils inspired my most recent books: It All Began in a Garden and My Essential Oil Companion, a study of 50 individual oils, their uses, and the plants they come from.

Now that I’ve retired from homeschooling, I’m writing my first novel!
