Releasing a book is a surreal experience. Months pass between turning in a manuscript and holding a book in your hands, months in which you wonder if you imagined the whole thing.
At least that’s how it was for me.
I’d visit my local Barnes and Noble and scan the alphabetized names on the shelves, picturing my book nestled there among the Cs in this store where I’ve spent hours sipping hot tea and writing blog posts; reading and organizing stories for my book; hanging out with my husband after movie dates; and running away for a little me time.
It still thrills me each time I see The Beauty of Grace on the top row of New Releases in the Religion category. I sign new copies and the employees stick an Autographed label on the front.

Meet me this Saturday at my hometown Barnes & Noble!
This Saturday, June 6, I’ll sign copies and read excerpts from The Beauty of Grace from 1-4 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble at the Collection at Forsyth (a.k.a. The Avenues) at 410 Peachtree Pkwy., Cumming, GA 30041. Event details can be found here.
This is a special event for me—a book signing at my Barnes & Noble! If you’re here in Atlanta, I’d love to see you there!
