I‘ve spent Sunday at home with my youngest daughter, who ran a fever this morning. Although we both missed going to church (she begged to go), I’ve enjoyed our quiet time together.
Missing a day here and there had put me a week behind on my 46-day Devotions for Lent from Holy Bible: Mosaic reading plan from YouVersion, but now I’m back on track to finish by Easter. Lily and I also started the The Children’s Guide to Easter, an illustrated 7-day plan that includes both scripture and commentary.
Last weekend when I looked at the dogwoods I photographed two years ago on April 10 (you can see them at the bottom of this post), the buds were so tiny that I had trouble finding the trees (tree identification isn’t one of my stronger skills). The dogwood blossom on this month’s desktop calendar is from March 29 (this week) last year.
Checking dates on old images helps me predict the best times to shoot this year, but realistically photographing spring is a you-snooze-you-lose proposition. Thankfully the cherry blossoms (above) put on a show for me!
Watch for a before and after shot of this photo this week, including cropping to add text.
May we rejoice in God’s grace this week as we prepare our hearts for Easter!
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” ~Ephesians 2:8-9
This is a beautiful post. I hope your little lady is feeling better.
She is still feeling puny, but they’re awfully cuddly sometimes when they don’t feel good.
Such a beautiful photo and scripture!
Thank you, Barbie!
