This verse is such a simple truth and yet so hard to apply in real life. When I have been wronged, my flesh longs to put the offender in his/her place and feel avenged…but vengeance belongs to God alone and it is only when we respond to evil with good that we can truly overcome evil. Thank you for this truth reminder today – and for the beautiful photo too!
Kerry, I think it is. I photographed this last week at Callaway Gardens.

Sometimes that is so hard, to give out good when others are not so nice.
It is interesting your thoughts are on the choices of the heart and the foxglove is called digitalis which is a heart medication. (It kind of looks like foxglove)
Sharon, I’m so glad you left a comment. You know much more about this flower than I do, which I now know is foxglove (I just thought it was pretty). Fascinating!
That is beautiful! Do you know what kind of flower it is?
Rachel, based on other comments and a Google image search, I think it’s foxglove!
Thanks! A foxglove …. it took my breath away. God’s creation never ceases to amaze me and awe me.

I’m a very “flowery” person. You just grabbed my heart, as so many others do, with the lovely colors and the beautiful shapes. Worth a grin!
It is just lovely, isn’t it?
My daughter would think this a perfect fairy flower! (Is that weird?)
Beautiful, Dawn.
Kerry, I think she would be right!
That verse is as beautiful as the flower. Do you know what kind that is?
