In yesterday’s post about the cherry blossom, I originally included the photo on top, but then I looked at the line “wearing white for Eastertide” and decided I should use an edit that looked whiter, so I switched.
I’d love to know: which do you prefer?
The second photo 🙂
I thought that one suited the poem best. 🙂
Both are beautiful but I love the first one the most! 🙂
I think I do, too.
I really love the first one the best!
Both – I love the crisp clarity of the ‘whiter’ one, plus its freshness and purity; I feel relaxed and restful, drowsy even, with the softness of the first. First is more ‘summery’ for some reason’ – hazy days and gentle ways perhaps.
I think “summer haze” is just right.
They are both beautiful art. So it depends on the message you want to convey with your art. The first is natural, with a soft haze. The second conveys bright light, an openness. The photo itself, no matter the enhancement, is beautiful, I can see a Bible verse written on the first, scrolling calligraphy. The second would have a modern, straight, no frills font.
What an insightful analysis – thanks!
I think it depends on how you planned to use the photo. There is a place for both. The vivid white is beautiful but would be shocking on a card that had an antique quality. And the reverse could be said of the top photo. Either way they are beautiful.
Definitely number 2! Love it!
second picture
I like the first one because it is subtle in tone.
the first one seems more natural, but the second photo does follow the wearing white . . .
Too hard to tell. I kind of like the second one best. This is tough.
first one…not sure why, it just feels right 🙂
in between the first and second. 🙂
I love the crispness of the white blooms in the second photo. It looks fresh and clean, like spring.
I prefer the second photo. They are both beautiful but that’s my preference.
