“I take a towel and kneel in the floor, pulling a basin of water from beneath the pew in front of me, and then I lift my sister’s feet, one at a time, washing them in the cool water as my rings softly scrape the metal pan. After each foot is wrapped in the towel and patted dry, we smile and embrace, and she kneels to wash mine.”
I’m revisiting a communion service today at (in)courage. You can read the rest and download November’s desktop wallpaper there.
Do you use the desktop wallpapers?
I love the desktop wallpapers! With Mac OS Lion, and the new multiple desktop feature, I usually have at least two out of my five desktops covered in the beautiful images and I try to arrange windows and icons so that I can see the scriptures and the calendar each month.
Love love love!
Well…OK…I’ll do it in remembrance of YOU, but I am NOT promising you I’ll do it in remembrance of November’s Desktop Wallpaper….
Yes I also love the calendar…
and the washing of feet…
We did this for pioneer girls years ago and my friend gave me her feet to wash and felt so loved and spoiled… little did she know that I was even more blessed by doing it and seeing her blessed.
I love that you washed each others…
Yay, Bekka—that’s exactly what I wanted to hear! I love the idea that other desktops are wearing these wallpapers. 🙂
Love to try this on my desktop.. Thanks for this great post! 🙂
