Yes, I think you can.
Maybe not art that will be hung on your walls (although services like Printstagram and Teeny Tile make it possible), but the art of the everyday, of real life, of your life. My phone is almost always with me, an enabler for capturing the meaning in the moments, seeking the beauty in the mundane.
I asked my friend Emily at Chatting at the Sky, another camera phone/Instagram user, and she said: “Since I got my new phone a few months ago, I have fallen in love with phonetography. No matter where I am, I’m always just a click away from having a story in my pocket. Art doesn’t have to be grand. Sometimes it’s just a coffee mug in the grass, rain on the window, a smile on her face. Phonetography captures the beauty perfectly.”
I agree. What do you think?
Who would have known one could do such amazing things… with a camera phone!!! I am going to give that camera a second look… How often a say”don’t have my camera, sigh” and the pics I have taken with my phone have been appalling – practice I guess!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
I love the way you can add the effects with your instagram…but I have a droid and can’t seem to find that app? Help! I want to create like you are. Any suggestions?
Vicki, I found this discussion on flickr where Droid users were talking about their favorite camera apps. I hope this helps!
