Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the LORD.
~Psalm 27:14
Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
~Psalm 33:20
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him
~Psalm 37:7
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
~Psalm 130:5
This is a small sampling of the verses telling us to wait on the Lord. If God’s timing wasn’t different than ours; we wouldn’t need so many reminders.
I lack patience. When I want something, I want it sooner, not later (I can see my husband reading this at work, nodding his head). My 2010 new year’s resolution still isn’t accomplished. Obviously, what I wanted then wasn’t in God’s timing. Even harder to swallow is that sometimes His answer is no.
Do you, too, need to remind yourself to be patient and wait on Him?

I am praying for your friend Diane. I hope everything went well today!
Yes, the surgery went well and the closest lymph node that they checked looked good. Thank you!
