Do your kids tend to hide their faces or do other things to spoil a perfect good shot? Some of mine do. My oldest daughter is a master of the smirk, and she actually likes it in the pictures, which I truly don’t understand.
When she recently wanted some photos taken in a dress we snagged for a steal at a thrift store, I told her she had to play by my rules: pretty dress, hair, and make-up equals pretty pictures. No smirking allowed.
Driving a hard bargain was worth it.
Shedding the “photo attitude” left her free to relax and have fun with it, even after her big brother crashed the party; she loved the photos. I’m so thankful we captured this moment in time!
These are gorgeous!! My favorite is the 4th one down, but I also love big brother crashing the photo shoot. Really beautiful pics, all of them!
she is beautiful! love that dress
She is a little beauty and those are great shots but I have to admit that the last ones are my absolute favorites! So true to life!! I love it!
Gorgeous and fun!
Casey, I love that one, too. I also love that my son couldn’t resist crashing. He even put on his tux top and vest from chorus to blend in with the formal look. 🙂
We got the dress for $5!!
Amy, yes, the true to life ones are always the best. My kids had so much fun yesterday going through old pictures and laughing at crazy things they did.
oh how i LOVE these pictures!!! i am surprised that there isn’t even one picture in the bunch of her all dolled up with a smirk as well?
