I am smitten with fall: the color and crisp air; evenings that invite bonfires and s’mores; burrowing under the covers, my cold feet against my husband’s warmer ones.
If you have access to mountains and their changing leaves, it’s worth the drive. Even a walk through a park or neighborhood can lift your mood and refresh your spirits.
Don’t forget your camera! Focus on the details—change is everywhere—but don’t miss the larger expanses of pure color.
Can you tell this is my favorite time of year? What’s yours?
I oogled all your fall colors on Flickr earlier. I so enjoy your photography, Dawn! xo
Dawn, I love this time too, awesome shots!
Gorgeous photos, Dawn! I, too, love this time of year. This is when I want to take a picture of every single tree I pass by, because they are all so beautifully different.
Oh my that first shot is so pretty! So many colors in it!
David & I are so amazed at the purple in the leaves. Wow! We don’t get that here in Hawaii. We really appreciate all the fall pictures you share. They are so beautiful!
Okay, I HAVE to ask. What tree puts off colors of purple and pink in the fall. If this isn’t photoshopped, I have to have the name so I can try and plant one in my yard. I love those colors. Please tell me it’s not photoshopped. Don’t ruin my exciting pipe dream. LOL.
No Photoshopping. 🙂
The leaves look like maple? I took the picture in the mountains at our mother/son outing.
