As I was walking out the door this morning, I took a look in the mirror and giggled. To the untrained eye, I looked like an ordinary mom. To the trained eye, however, I had blogger written all over me.
Here’s a shout out to my online (and some real life) buddies whose wares adorn my life:
- The Pleated Poppy (Lindsey Cheney)
- The Vintage Pearl (Erin)
- Lisa Leonard Designs (blog)
- My Funky Camera (Gabi)
- Gussy (Maggie Whitley)
- BlissDom (Allison Worthington)
{I’m not sure why I look so serious. Photographing yourself while toting all this stuff is tricky. :-)}

HA! You’re right… you DO have ‘blogger’ written all over 🙂
I LOVE your camera strap btw!!
I KNOW!
I think about that all the time.
That makes me so happy.
Last week I was in the Atlanta airport people watching. I saw a woman from behind- she was so cute and I noticed her funky camera strap. I thought, “She looks like one of my people. The kind of gal who would’ve gone to BlissDom. Kinda arty and funky.”
It was @WearsManyHats
She *was* my people.
Bloggers are my people!
Love it and love YOU!
LOL, this is SO true!!!
I think about that every time I go out in my blogger gear. It’s fun to look like a part of our community! 🙂
Classic blogger look! I need to be a more identifiable blogger and learn to identify them. Sometimes, you can just tell. It’s hard to explain to a non-blogger, but bloggers totally get it.
classic & hysterical!
love it.
that’s.awesome.
So true! We went to SeaWorld and I had my new camera bag backpack loaded down with camera gear and baby gear. I set the bag down on the table for the inspection guy and he says “Is this some kind of camera backpack?” And I thought I was being discreet!
you are so cute! i look just like that some days. we are a club!
Girl, you are too cute!
and I saw it a while back but got sidetracked by a cutesie little baby boy and didn’t get to comment: Your blog design is just perfect. I love it. You should do mine. for real.
I am never satisfied with my own. I greatly dislike mine. 🙁
You are so funny, Dawn! I guess I don’t have enough blogger gear to be identified. I’ll just remain the Undercover Blogger for now. Heh. Heh. But I’ll definitely recognize all the others! 🙂
I love it and all your stuff 🙂
So funny and oh so true! Very cute post 🙂
I absolutely love this! Too funny. 😀
Alli, yes, bloggers are my people, too! It’s good that there can be identifiable ways to recognize us in a crowd.
We need our own special sign or logo (or secret handshake!) or something. Sometimes I see a woman in a store and think, “I’ll bet she blogs, and it’s a really good one.” 🙂
Jessica, yes, it’s fun to wear our gear. Actually, all of those items I’m wearing or carrying have sparked conversations with others, just because they were interested in them though, not because they recognized anything.
Hannah, you’ve got lots of time to get your own “blogger look.” 😉
You’re part of the next generation of bloggers. That’s a cool name for teens: Next Generation Bloggers. 🙂
Kellie, I just followed all of your links and even entered to win your bag giveaway! You make those? Wow. That would be a cute addition to my “blogger gear.” 🙂
Valerie, I get you on the camera bag thing. I would have had my red bowler bag, but I’d just gotten my camera out of it when I took the pic. 🙂
Amy, I’ve been so dissatisfied with my design lately that I’ll bet it’s changed 5 or 6 times (sometimes a change would only last minutes!) over the last 3 weeks. I’m finally good with it. 🙂
Last night when I was getting the photo code for this post off of Flickr, I saw that with their new format they’ve added a new size, 640px wide. I immediately added 50 extra pixels to my content column, and enlarged my header. I love it! Thank you, Flickr!
Let me know if you seriously want to work on it. I realize that my deep dislike of the Blogger Widget format is what burned me out on web design. I loved what they now call the “Classic Template.” I heart WordPress. 🙂
Dianne, now you need a special Undercover Blogger badge, and you can keep dibs on the rest of us (but I guess your badge would give you away). 😉
that is HILARIOUS!
Yep, you are 100% blogger! 🙂
Just found your blog and laughed out loud at this post – I own something from all but one of those shops. Hilarious!
ROFL! I don’t have Gussy yet but I do have that exact same funky camera strap! And I just got my French Roast Ruffled Camera Strap (with the pocket that will fit my 50mm 1.4 lens cap!) from Eclectic Whatnot. Being a blogger is so geeky-cool-fun!
Ha! I have often thought the same!
