This is our fourth and youngest son, the last in a line of baseball superstars (I am his mother, ya know?).
As with all the coolest baseball dudes, this one is sporting that black stuff under his eyes and Silly Bandz on his wrist.

Very cool dude! 😉
I took some shots at my oldest son’s baseball game last week. I wasn’t happy with any of them.
I’ve got the whole shooting in manual mode down if I just think about what aperture I want to shoot at and then adjust the exposure accordingly. Thinking about shutter speed trips me up. I think I need to review Peterson’s book again.
Love this shot Dawn! I really love what you did with the coloring… much more dramatic this way! 🙂

Ruthanne, don’t remember what settings I used, but if you click the pic you might be able to see them on Flickr. 🙂
Why don’t they wear the black stuff under their eyes in soccer? Just wondering out loud.
I bet he likes having everyone cheer him on at the games. It’s gotta be tough and yet good to be the youngest of the boys!

My son had his first baseball game last night. Haven’t had time to edit them but I got a few good ones and he got his first hit! He was so excited!

Marsha, my kids are so bad about wearing that black stuff on their eyes that the girls do it in the house. 🙂
Love this shot! I took a ton at my son’s last ballgame and none turned out like I had hoped. Did you see the post from MCP actions with the fence? Well, I felt like she’d been looking through my camera. LOL – not quiet, but nearly.
I sure wish I’d thought of those silly bands.
Robyn, I’m going to have to look up the MCP actions post. I assume it deals with shooting through the fence at baseball games, which is a nightmare. I cram my lens right up to the fence (in this shot) or I sneak in the duggout and shoot straight through the door onto the field. I almost got my 70-300 pegged by a foul ball doing that last year. Now I try to stay just inside the fence. I got a great shot that I posted recently of my 15yos’s team walking off the field after the game. I just ran in the duggout to get it. 🙂
