Our homeschool group did a wonderful job with its annual Field Day today. We met on a large soccer field at a public park, with stations that the kids rotated through by age group. I have recently fallen in love again with my most neglected lens, a Nikon 70-300mm zoom, which I used the entire time, making it possible to move in tight on my seven kids spread out over the field. It was an enjoyable afternoon chatting with friends and watching the kids play.
Here’s my first Flip video posted! I haven’t shared the story of my Flip. I entered all kinds of contests trying to win one, without success. One day last month a package arrived in the mail. I opened it to find a Flip; it was even the apple green color I would have selected! My kids all came running because I started screaming as soon as I saw it. I’m not sure how I got it, but now it’s mine all mine.
I’ve tried uploading video straight to Facebook and WordPress without success. After uploading this one to YouTube, I see that the problem might just be my lack of patience. Videos take a lot longer than photos, don’t they?
Lily’s debut in the sack races:
I’m all about photo editing, but these are SOOC (straight out of camera). I didn’t realize you had to upgrade to a pro account on Flickr once you hit 200 photos, but tonight pushed me over the limit. I’ll enjoy being able to group my photos there now.
Hi, I have enjoyed looking over all of your homeschool stuff. I will be a first time homeschool mom this fall, with a 6th grader, a 10th grader, and a 3 year old! I think that we will be doing Sonlight Core 6 and maybe Core 200???It is nice to see another mom that is juggling older kids and toddlers at the same time! Thanks for writing such great reviews…I have enjoyed them! Just wanted to touch base! 🙂
