This week’s Thematic Photographic theme is blur. I like this shot because the runner (my 17-year-old son) is mostly in focus, since I was panning him with the camera; however, the spectators are blurred.

Excellent shot, Dawn! I love the blur and motion portrayed. Even better that it’s your own son. 😀

I really love panning. I know Ishouldn’t make a habit out of it or anything but once in awhile it just produces the most AMAZING shot! Like this one – -it’s just fun and it draws you into the subject and the action.
This is an esp. useful thing to know how to do well when “documenting” young children who are forever on the go. 😉 Thanks for sharing your photo!

Cool picture, except it reminds me of the agony of cross country.:)
Great blur! Pan and scan with the camera turns up a nice action picture. 🙂

That is a great shot! My camera would just make the whole picture blurry. I am so jealous!

Wow! This is a terrific capture! Great fit for the “blurry” theme.
This picture ROCKS! I can almost feel the drama of watching this exciting event (I ran track in high school and LOVE sitting in the stands and taking it in.)
I’m having so much fun with this week’s theme. So glad to see I’m not alone!

What a fun picture!
Have you checked out the online classes that Scott Kelby offers? I don’t know how it compares with NAPP but I use CS3 also and have been LOVING it.
You can check it out here:
