Please don’t be sad. I’m moving in the big girls’ room tonight. We’ve been putting it off for a long time. Daddy’s moved my crib for me. I’m just right up the stairs.
Carrying baby dolls and moving upstairs…what a big girl.
(((hugs))) for Dawn.

What an absolutely beautiful picture of your little girl! She looks really excited to be “moving up.” It’s okay mom…she’ll be fine.

that is a great picture of Lilly…and YOU’LL be fine. If you’re like me, it will take you a few restless nights to get used to it. Thanks for the comments on my blog. It’s nice to know someone is reading it!

Congratulations mommy. You’re getting your room back!!! It’s hard to let go, I know. I still keep a monitor in my 7 year olds room.
Hey, I love the furniture! I had a business of painting furniture like that when I was child-free. Did you do it?

Lily seems to be adjusting nicely. Because of circumstances (church Sunday and being in the car today), I haven’t had a chance to see how she’ll do during nap time. I’m crossing my fingers…
The custom-painted crib was a gift from my sweet cousin when I was expecting our fifth child. Believe-it-or-not, that’s the same crib all eight of ours have used!
So … how are things going with Lily in the big girl room?
You are much braver than I … actually Robin always slept in her own room as an infant, but once she got mobile, always found her way to floor next to my side of the bed. She always rooted the dog out of his spot, so we ended up moving his bed and putting her a pallet there. She’s 10 and just now has begun sleeping regularly in her room. I know. I baby them WAY too long …
After a couple of years, it seemed that she was not lonely, scared or anything else, she just didn’t want to make up her bed in the mornings. Geesh. We didn’t find that out until this year when we feared we would have to get her some counseling for some kind of separation anxiety.
Kids.

I can’t believe how much this picture looks like my Lily Rose. Mostly the eyes and hair. I promise that I am not obsessed with the fact that we both have a Lily Rose I was just amazed when I saw this pic. Have a good day!

I know this is an old post but I have to know…did you paint the dresser yourself? Or is it wallpaper?? Do tell! I LOVE it!
