On Sunday mornings our pastor calls for prayer requests before services begin. Last Sunday a member stood and told us about a sign he saw on the side of a busy road near his home; it contained a simple five-word plea: Please pray for my marriage.
I know the road where he saw the sign. It’s in a prosperous part of our county, not an area where you tend to see panhandlers or families sitting on the side of the road with signs asking for financial help.
But our hearts can be as bankrupt as our pockets.
So this godly man brought an anonymous prayer request before us, and then he bowed down and prayed not only for the unknown couple’s marriage but for all of the marriages within our church.
Because even the best of marriages need to be blanketed in prayer.
Please join me today at (in)courage for the rest of the story. If your marriage needs special prayers, I would ask you to leave a request in the comments and allow us to pray for you. Also, please read the requests of others and pray over them and their marriages too. Thank you!
