I believe friendship is one of God’s most precious gifts.
We need listening ears, sharers of inside jokes, keepers of secrets. Shoulders to cry on and hands to high-five.
We need friends to support, encourage, and advise us; they’re the special people with whom we share the days and the details of our lives. They know our own, personal blooper reel and co-star in our treasured memories.
A true friend understand you without words; sees through you when you say “I’m fine;” and holds your heart safely in her hands. She can arch her eyebrows from across a room and dissolve you in a fit of giggles. She reminds you what it feels like to be a kid again.
This week marks the release of my new book The Gift of Friendship, a celebration of friendship in all shapes and sizes. It contains over 50 stories from over 40 authors arranged into 9 categories: Building Community, It Takes a Friend to Be a Friend, Pursuing Friendship, Hospitality, Friendship on Purpose, What I Learned about Friendship from My Family, Vulnerability, Making a Difference, Old Friends.
The Gift of Friendship is available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, DaySpring, Givington’s, Christian Book Distributors (CBD), Books-a-Million, LifeWay, Parable, and Family Christian. Look for it on the shelf at your local Barnes & Noble or your favorite Christian book store.

Reviews from My Book Launch Team
- “I can’t tell you how much I love this book. God has worked it right into many different elements of friendship that have or do question, and given me such a peaceful sense that my fellow sisters in Christ are in the trenches with me.” – Meg
- “We are Martha’s and Mary’s and Naomi’s and Ruth’s. Women need women! A blessing this book is.” – Tammy
- “This book will serve as an eye opening experience for many as they realize the friends God has placed all around them!” – Brad
- “The book so opens our eyes to the truth that friendship can look differently. Often we develop ideas of what friendship is & God may be bringing us a gift we may completely miss. There is no one definition of friendship. Our God is a creative God!” – Joanne
- “There are a nuggets of wisdom, advice and encouragement in each story. Each and every one is a blessing.” – Brandi
