I am optimistic about attending Photoshop World at this point!

A friend is selling me an airline voucher at a reduced rate.  I’m crossing my fingers that transferring it will be painless and it will process as a regular ticket, not a standby.  I’ve heard some horror stories about flying standby to Las Vegas.

Another blogger may go with me and room together.  Don’t ask me for a name, because I’m only giving it when and if it becomes a done deal.  This would not only reduce costs, but also be just tons of fun  I thought I wouldn’t know anyone, and now I might be rooming with one of my favorite bloggers!

My stress level was high by the end of the day Monday.  Looking for sponsors is hard work, and mentally draining, too.  I was feeling pretty hopeless.  It was then that I realized that I was trusting myself to figure this out, instead of leaning on the Lord.  I prayed about it and handed it over to Him.  He promises “my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  My burden didn’t feel too light.

I prayed that I would do the right thing.  While that might include contacting the right people, I really meant do the right thing by my family.  A preoccupied and harried mother isn’t going to do my kids a lot of good.  Yesterday when my six-year-old son asked me to take him to the movies for an overdue mother/son outing I’d promised him, it seemed like just the answer.

I returned to find $225 donated in my absence: $100 from Heart of the Matter Online, $100 from Proverbs 31 Ministries, $25 from Amy Bayliss. Thank you ladies – I love you!
