In the middle of updating my blog’s theme, I realized that now’s the time for both an updated look and a big announcement . . .
My blog’s new header reflects the cover image and title font for my first book, , which releases February 3, 2015! The Beauty of Grace combines stories of faith from some of today’s most popular writers with photography illustrating God’ creation. Yes, I said my first book: I’m working on two more with my publisher, Revell, in the same format on the topics of friendship and marriage!
Signing on the Dotted Line
I love how my friend Annie signed all three copies of her contract in special ways and with special people, so I totally copied her idea.
I signed my first copy at church with two of my best girlfriends, who are also two of my biggest cheerleaders. We may have been a little giddy.
I decided that if I got a book deal my husband and I would celebrate (and sign a copy of the contract) at Kani House, my favorite Japanese Steakhouse; I could live on their fried rice.
The last copy I signed with my four youngest kids (it’s impossible to get all eight together). You can tell they’re impressed their mom is making a book. Or not. (Kids are hard to impress.)
The Secret is Out!
Y’all forgive me for not sharing sooner. I’m more comfortable promoting other people than myself, but I believe this is God’s book and I’m thankful He’s allowed me to gather the pieces and put them together. It’s inspiring, encouraging, and you’re going to love it! Promise.
Please click over to Amazon and check out The Beauty of Grace, which releases on February 3, 2015, but is currently available for pre-order. I’ll share more as the date draws near!
I can’t say enough good about the amazing authors who contributed their words to this book; my agent, Ruth Samsel from the William K. Jensen Agency; and the amazing ladies I’ve worked with at Revell, who’ve made the process both fun and informational for this newbie.
So there’s my announcement! It was hush-hush during the proposal process, and then I had a hard time opening up and talking about it; I’m so happy to finally share it with you. Thank you for being a safe place!

Dawn, I can’t wait to read (and hold) your book!! If you need advance readers and reviews, I’d love to be one of the first to write an Amazon review for you! Godspeed!
Cheryl, I know Revell has book bloggers who get advanced copies for review. I’m sure we’ll be coordinating outreach as the date approaches. Thank you!
