Have you enjoyed this series on the Barbie Photo Fashion Doll? She isn’t your typical Barbie. First I showed you her embedded digital camera and backlit LCD screen, which makes the photos your child takes with her show up on her t-shirt. Today I’ll show you what makes Barbie do what she does: her tool belt.

The heart in the middle of her belt turns the camera on and off. The buttons on either side of it scroll through effects that can be added to the pictures.  A switch on the side changes between taking or reviewing photos. When you’re in review mode, pressing the heart button starts a slideshow of stored images. A cover on the back of the belt slides up and allows you to connect Barbie to your computer using her pink USB cable.

I’ve been impressed with the quality of this doll. We haven’t had any glitches or problems, including importing pictures to the computer or using the software. The Barbie Photo Fashion Doll retails for $49.99, but it’s currently $39.97 at Amaazon (see affiliate link below) and $44.99 at Mattel.
