Out-of-state company; preparations for a new year of Classical Conversations; one son returning to college tomorrow and another one moving back home on the same day; savoring the last days of summer break with the family: all this and more has slowed my blogging pace lately.
I wanted to take a moment to share a snippet of our lives lately, and I’d love to hear about what you’ve been doing, too.
This was pretty exciting: all 8 of our kids in the same place at the same time, plus our niece, her husband, and her baby, whom we met for the first time (the baby, not the niece and husband).
Photographing babies is fun! They are totally unpredictable.
We had a beach party and sandcastle building contest at our Classical Conversations Challenge (middle and high school level) Meet and Greet. The sand art was quite creative, as you can see by this toothy alligator.
My husband (far left) was one of four men elected as deacons at our church yesterday, so I’m now a deacon’s wife. I’m not entirely sure what that entails, besides being on my best behavior. Kidding! (at least I think so) 🙂
We’re about to repaint the bedroom shared by our three youngest daughters and I’ll share the before and after with you.
What have you been up to?
