The past couple of weeks have been bittersweet. We’ve often had all 10 of us together, as our oldest son has been doing summer work in town and coming home with my husband in the evenings, but we’ve been preparing to take our second son to college, out-of-state.
Life as we know it will never be the same, for the second time.
I am so thankful for our friends, Jim and Deloris Wilkinson, who offered to take family pictures for us before the two older boys leave.
We were all dripping in the heat, but no one complained. In my mind, these photos were the one thing on the to-do list this week that just had to happen.
We had to get our “Brady Bunch” shots, too: mom and girls, dad and boys. Convenient that we have an even number of each, eh? 🙂
I know my boys have got to go and spread their wings. What a blessing to have these precious images!
What a totally sweet and beautiful family! Great pics! We have 4 kids, and the chances of gettting them all to smile at the same time are almost nil. But somehow every shot of yours turned out great – amazing!
Great pictures!
You and your family always look so joyful. Y’all have the best smiles!
It’s bittersweet watching our children grow up.
What beautiful pics of your family. Isn’t it amazing how quickly the time flies and how soon your wee babes are all growd up and off out into the world!
Beautiful!! What a handsome family 🙂
It was great to see you again and the photowalk in Roswell.

LOVE!!!! Beautiful, beautiful family, Dawn, and I can’t believe how grown-up the “middles” are, especially! What precious keepsakes!

I love your pictures! I love your porch – and all the smiling faces! I want to know the trick to getting those smiling faces!
BTW – are you still doing calendars?
Wait! How did I miss this? I’ve been reading your blog for a year now and never realized you had 8 kids. I’ve seen photos of some but I guess I’ve just never seen all of you together. And you homeschooled/are homeschooling all of them? I loved homeschooling my daughter but was getting a bit intimidated at the thought of having to do 2 kids this year. You have my utmost and deepest respect!
what a beautiful family. i know you’re glad to have photos all together!
& You’ll treasure these forever 🙂 Great photos ((hugs))
Such a beautiful family!
Dawn, these pictures are so good! Every one of them! I know you are glad you had them made; you will cherish them always! I know it”s so hard to watch them grow up and move away. You are all in our prayers!
Denise, yes, there are eight of them. We just got home from dropping off the second one for college, and six are still at home. We homeschool all of them. Last year we started doing Classical Conversations, which is helping me keep my sanity and school all of them at once. 🙂
HOORAY for family photos! They looks smashing, Dawn! I laughed out loud at your Brady Bunch pics. Yup, gotta have those!
The Pictures are….Family Bliss!
Wonderful photos …ALL of them!
Truly a Fabulous loving family!
You are blessed!!!!!!!
Whoever took the photos did a super job!
