I’ve been keeping a secret from you, but now it’s okay to tell: iHeartFaces is sponsoring a nationwide photo walk, and I’m leading it for Atlanta! The event will be held on Saturday morning, June 5, 2010, from 9-11 a.m. beginning at the Oakland Cemetery Visitor Center and ending at Six Feet Under restaurant.

You may wonder why I chose a cemetery. Oakland isn’t just any cemetery, it’s a chunk of Atlanta history, with such notable “residents” as Gone with the Wind author Margaret Mitchell, and Joseph Jacobs, owner of the pharmacy where Coca-Cola was first served as a beverage in 1886. Three thousand unknown Confederate soldiers are also buried there.

Our walk already hit the 25 attendee limit after being announced this afternoon, but I am almost certain that I will have a helper, enabling us to add 25 additional spots.

Here’s the registration link for Atlanta.

Visit iHeartFaces for registration links for the other photo walk cities: Austin, Texas; Bisbee, Arizona; Boise, Idaho; Chicago, Illinois; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Columbia, South Carolina; Columbus, Ohio; Dallas, Texas; Detroit, Michigan; Las Vegas, Nevada; Louisville, Kentucky; Chaska, Minnesota; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Orange County, California; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Sacramento, California; Salt Lake City, Utah; Seattle, Washington; and Washington, D.C.
